A Domestic Violence Non Profit
Free to Live is deeply committed to promoting the principles of health and education equity through community engagement. As an organization, we serve as a bridge to connect communities with empowerment resources, actively encouraging self-reflection and self-assessment to facilitate collective self-improvement.
Free to Live is a recognized non-profit entity, holding a 501(c)(3) status, and dedicated to empowering communities impacted by domestic violence. We achieve this by fostering active community engagement and seamlessly integrating educational, mental health, and physical health resources. At the heart of our mission lies the unwavering belief that life surpasses mere survival; it embodies a profound and life-altering journey toward authentic freedom and the ability to truly thrive.
We are a resilient collective, encompassing survivors who have experienced domestic violence, as well as their roles as mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends, and spouses. Together, we form a tightly-knit community united by a common purpose: to address the pressing need for support, encouragement, and the cultivation of an environment that fosters empowerment.
Our goal is to empower our communities to reach for their full potential, champion the significance of mental health, and promote educational excellence through our engaging community events. We continually develop creative approaches to connect with our community and act as advocates for domestic violence survivors, bridging the gap to vital resources and support.
At our core, we aspire to empower individuals who have faced trauma, guiding them on a journey towards healing and enabling them to reach their fullest potential in life. Shockingly, statistics reveal that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men have already experienced or will experience domestic violence. Many who escape such situations find themselves in desperate need of support to heal from the trauma, and some may not even fully recognize the nature of domestic violence.
Enter Free to Live, the unique informational resource that combines education with innovative community engagement. We understand the importance of the bonds we forge within our communities, and our mission is to foster healing that transcends across these very communities.
It's a rewarding experience to support the community by offering mentorship to the youth and facilitating discussions on bullying and domestic violence. Together, through open and honest conversations with our young individuals, we are actively working to change and break generational curses.
